Board Meeting Today
Need some excitement? The EE HOA Board meeting is
set for 1 PM today, Monday, May 20, at
the Ramada.
The standard agenda is at the end of this
memo.
Wednesday Night Movie
This week's movie at the Ramada starts at 7:00
PM.
Places in the Heart stars Sally Field. In
1935 rural Texas, a recent widow struggles to
survive with two small children, a farm to run and
very little money in the bank -- not to mention a
deadly tornado and the unwelcome presence of the Ku
Klux Klan. She is helped by her beautician sister, a
blind boarder, and a would-be thief who decides to
stick around to teach her how to plant and harvest
cotton. Thanks to Jane and Eric Ellingson for
sponsoring this event.
The Return of Pickleball
The courts are finished and pickleball has now resumed.
Organized play takes place at 8:30 AM, and
the courts are open to EE residents and their guests at
any time.
Time to Trim the Tall Palms
Palm trees in EE must be trimmed in "carrot top" style
by June 30th because dry fronds become
a fire hazard during monsoon season. Although that's
fairly ugly, the fronds do grow back rather quickly.
Homeowners can hire anyone they desire to do the work.
EE has an agreement with Monstrosity
Tree Service (520-320-7131) for $60.00/tree which
they will honor for everyone in EE. Monstrosity has
raised its price-per-tree from last year due to higher
gas prices and dumping fees. Trees still untrimmed by
June 30 will be trimmed by the HOA with homeowners being
billed $80/tree.
Questions? Call Dean Hess at 520-780-8995.
Free Yarn
Free yarn will be available at Prestige Assisted Living, 1175 South
Abrego Drive, at 2:00 PM on Thursday and Friday. Joan Moreaux
reports they have a lot of yarn to give away.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour at the Ramada will start at 4:00
PM on the following Fridays: May
31, June 7 and June 21. Bring your own beverage,
glasses, utensils, and an appetizer to share.
Monday Morning Memo Submission Deadline
Have an EE organization item that needs to appear in the
next MMM? Please submit your information by Friday
evening. You don't need to write the article,
just give us the facts. If an urgent, last-minute
situation arises after the deadline, please call to let
us know you're sending information.
Helpful Hints for HOA Happiness
The Board is aware that not everyone reads and
understands EE's CC&Rs and Rules, so they have asked the
Monday Morning Memo to include reminders of issues that
arise, disrupting the peace and harmony of our
community. We are paraphrasing and abbreviating the CC&Rs
and Rules, so if an item applies to you, you can read the full
applicable section of the CC&Rs or Rules on our website or call a Board
member for clarification. Here's our latest hint: Your
pets must be kept enclosed within your walls unless you
are transporting them or walking them on a leash. Be
responsible for your pets and prevent them from creating
a nuisance.
